Anal Ring Toss

With a name like this, this toy doesn’t quite fit into the ‘darling, I bought you a sensual toy we can try together’ category. However, I cackled with glee when it arrived, seeing an easy (if humiliating) way that my man could make amends for any gaffes. To use, simply insert the small butt plug into the relevant orifice then get the plugged partner to bend over while you hurl the three yellow hoops at him (or indeed, her) with every one that lands on the mark earning you a sexual favour. Bonus points should be awarded for affecting the overtly serious pose of the model on the box. A great novelty device that could also be used in sub/Dom play for humiliation. Oh, and if the idea of inserting the plug is too scary, it works just as well tucked down the back of your jeans. Click to view in the shop

Durex Pleasure Pack

This selection pack of condoms offers three each of the Performa, Tingle and Pleasuremax prophylactics along with three sachets of warming lube so should offer enough variety to work with any partner. The Performa condoms have Benzocaine cream inside the tip to help delay ejaculation (don’t try using them if there are no premature ejaculation issues, particularly if you’re drunk - they’re so effective that a chafing is almost inevitable). The Tingle add an extra frisson to sex but if you’re particularly sensitive down below, you might find the sensation too much (and the smell of toothpaste might not enhance the encounter). The Pleasuremax, on the other hand, are a thing of wonder: sheer, coated in non-spermicidal lubricant and covered in dots that add extra sensation, they act as a sex enhancer as well as keeping you safe. Similarly, the warming lube offers a sensual addition to your lovemaking, and can be used for massage as well as in intimate areas. If you haven’t found a favourite condom yet, buy this pack to test three varieties without breaking the bank. Click to view in the shop

Good Vibrations G-Twist

This silicone vibrator is, as the name suggests, great for stimulating the G-spot thanks to its intriguing shape. Although broadly phallic, the ridges  on the shaft and the angling of the head combine to make it almost impossible to miss the spot. If you’re new to G-spot stimulation you may find its length and girth slightly intimidating, but size queens will love it, particularly as the base is designed to rub your clit as you play. Easy to control, waterproof and elegantly designed, just make sure you don’t use it with silicone lube as it can damage the silicone of the toy. Click to view in the shop

Lelo Lily

Surely one of the classiest toys ever designed, this thing of beauty looks like a pebble with a dimple in the middle of it, fits snugly over your clit and recharges through a mobile phone charger. The vibrations vary from mild to medium making this a great, non-intimidating beginner’s toy. The packaging is gorgeous and could only be enhanced by tying with a big bow as a sexy surprise for a partner. The size makes it easy to use during sex - just hold it over your clit while having doggy-style sex, or get your partner to. Well worth the price tag, this is a designer classic toy that every woman (and any man into perineum stimulation) should own. Click to view in the shop

Striptease: The Seduction Kit

Petits Bijoux do it again with this luxurious pack containing a feather boa, stick on nipple pasties, a soundtrack to wiggle, bump and grind to and a sexy garter. All you need to live out a striptease, burlesque or lapdancer fantasy, and compactly packaged in a discreet round tin so that it’s easy to hide away when you’re not playing and nobody need know that, by night, you are Mimi the Minx (or indeed, Martin the Minx if a bit of cross-dressing floats your boat.) Be warned though, as with all but the most expensive boas, you may find a few feathers on the floor once you’ve finished your performance. Then again, you might find that ruffling a few feathers is exactly what you want to do… Click to view in the shop

The Tenga Deep Throat Cup

Male sex toys traditionally have a bad reputation, being either comedy novelty products which are designed more to embarrass stags than with any sexual intent, or somewhat creepy dismembered women with holes in the appropriate (and sometimes inappropriate) places. The Tenga range blasts that perception away, with design so sleek that you could leave it on the side of the bath, and casual observers would think it was nothing more than a can of deodorant. More to the point, it feels great (according to my male tester) offering suction and rippled insides to simulate oral sex and vaginal sex all at once. The only problem with the Deep Throat Cup is that it’s single use, which makes the price a little steep and isn’t exactly eco. However, the performance is so impressive that every man should try a Tenga at least once. Click to view in the shop
